Project Accountant - 6 month contract
at CPG Executive in Dublin City South
Project Accountant – 6 Month Contract
Role Purpose – A temporary role initially for a period of up to 6 months to support the technical accounts team with a one-off project, namely the implementation of a new reinsurance system, WebXL.
Responsibilities
• Collation and reconciliation of legacy technical accounts information for transfer to WebXL
• Assisting in system testing for the various Finance enhancements required
• Assisting in the parallel run between current manual processes and WebXL
• Updating of Finance manual for WebXL
• Work with finance team to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
• Liaise with finance functions in Ireland and elsewhere in the Group to manage operational risks introduced by changes to systems and reduce inherent operational risk
• Work closely with the auditors, both internal and external to explain new processes systems and resolve any control issues
Experience
• Recently qualified accountant
• Currently living in Ireland with fluent English
• Knowledge of Sun Accounts and WebXL an advantage
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Financial Services experience a benefit and (Re)Insurance experience is highly desirable
• Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Access
• Motivated individual with excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Ability to respond to and deliver on ad-hoc requests
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise and multi task
• Good report writing skills (with an emphasis on compliance/audit style presentation)
