Voice Systems Engineer
The Voice Systems Engineer is a full-time position based in Dundalk, Ireland
About the Job
The Voice System Engineer is responsible for using a variety of communication technologies to support my clients 24x7x365 call centre environment located across multiple cities and countries.
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, support and operation of telecommunication systems
System administration of the IVR and ACD infrastructure in the call center
Participation in on-call technical support for my clients production environment
Documentation of existing and new procedures and policies
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of Avaya Enterprise PBX administration, with a focus on SIP and ISDN.
Experience with Avaya Communication Manager 5.x
Experience with Avaya Session Manager 5.x
Experience with Avaya Voice Portal 5.x
Experience with various Telephony API implementations (TSAPI, JTAPI)
Configuring and maintaining Session Border Controllers (Acme Packet)
Configuring and maintaining Peripheral Gateways (Cisco ICM)
Voice architecture experience in an MPLS environment
Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, etc.)
DNS administration (bind, named, etc.)
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and balance priorities accordingly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
Additional experience in the following is desirable, but not required:
Perl and Shell scripting experience
Comfortable operating within a Unix command line environment
Linux administration
Web development experience (i.e. SQL, J2EE, php, perl cgi, or other dynamic web development method)
Call center or telecommunications support experience
