Project Portfolio Communications and Reporting Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Function, we currently seek an experienced Project Portfolio Communications and Reporting Specialist for the Project Management Office.
ROLE DEFINITION
-- Develop, maintain & improve project portfolio progress & performance reporting;
-- Develop, maintain & improve the project portfolio tracking & statusing system applications;
-- Collate cross project reporting & review reports for PMO and SMC review;
-- Support users in the use of the reporting & tracking tools;
-- Develop, maintain & improve PMO and BSC Web/SharePoint site applications.
-- Convene BSC priority project portfolio review meetings;
-- Prepare and execute a communications plan for an overall CBI project & change management programme.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
[Portfolio Reporting]
-- Prepare monthly portfolio dashboard report on BSC priority projects for distribution to Project Sponsors and SMC;
-- Prepare quarterly Portfolio report on BSC priority projects for distribution to Project Sponsors and SMC;
-- In conjunction with Project Assurance & Support clearly identify issues, risks and contentions at project & portfolio levels;
-- Maintain deliverable, risk & issue logs across the BSC priority project portfolio;
-- Support the design, development and implementation of system support tools for project tracking & reporting.
{Systems and User Support}
-- Act as the first line of support for users of portfolio tracking & reporting tools;
-- Achieve & maintain a high level of project reporting compliance & quality employing tracking & reporting system tools. Identify omissions or inaccuracies and resolve with projects/Project Assurance & Support;
-- Design, develop and implement an overall PMO WEB/ SharePoint site providing practical support and assistance to the project management/delivery community;
[Communications]
-- Develop & execute a broad based communication plan in support of the Project Management Capability Improvement Programme focused on both those directly engaged in project delivery and the broader CBI population;
-- Develop comprehensive communications collateral, supporting training & development programmes;
-- Actively support the development & improvement of project management capability in the CBI.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-- Minimum 2/3 years project management experience, ideally with some experience in a similar PMO role
-- Strong user application development skills and experience - Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Project Server and Enterprise Portfolio Server.
-- Practical experience in project & programme management.
-- Experience in development and maintenance of application software;
-- Operation of a project/programme reporting process;
-- Development and delivery of communications plans within a project/programme setting;
COMPETENCIES
