Full-time Senior Project Assurance & Support Manager

Reporting to the Head of Function, we currently seek an experienced Senior Project Assurance and Support Manager for the Project Management Office.

ROLE DEFINITION
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of a common & consistent project management methodology in the Central Bank and the Financial Services Authority of Ireland
• Develop, maintain & improve standard project documentation and knowledge banks.
• Support projects in scope specification, plan preparation & performance reporting with a particular focus on the BSC organisational priority projects (14).
• Undertake independent project assurance audits & assessment as required.
• Manage the Change Control process

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management Processes Framework
• Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement in the CBI project management process framework and document templates, providing support in the use of the framework to BSC (organisational level) priority projects in particular.
• Support and drive compliance in the operation of PMO processes, including project plans, business cases, change requests and project completion reports with an initial focus on BSC priority projects.
Programme Assurance
• Review project documentation to ensure quality & completeness, supporting the project prioritisation process.
• Conduct thorough assurance reviews of individual projects as required or at the invitation of a Project Sponsor or SMC.
• Convene regular project progress & reporting review meetings, initially focused on the BSC priority projects.

Management of (BSC) Portfolio Dependencies, Issues & Risks
• Record and track project deliverables, risks, issues and dependencies in conjunction with Project Portfolio Communications & Reporting
• Drive & support maximum focus on milestone, budget/expenditure & value/benefit delivery tracking.

Project Management Support
• Provide a source of expert knowledge and advice on the management and successful delivery of projects.
• Support the development & improvement of project management methodology & practice.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• A minimum of 3 years experience in senior project/ programme management roles with a minimum of 1 year in a project assurance/audit role.
• Demonstrable experience of end to end management of complex projects.
• Demonstrable experience in project assurance audits, risk management & quality control.
• Experience of developing/supporting in-house project management methodology/processes.
• Ideally senior level experience in PMO operations/management
• Excellent PC Skills: Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint etc.
