We are seeking to recruit a number of Treasury Analysts for our Retail Banking Supervision department. The Retail Banking Supervision department is responsible for the prudential supervision of those credit institutions covered by the Irish Government Guarantee Scheme.

Specialist Skills Area:
The following skills are required at an appropriate professional standard:
• Deep knowledge of a bank`s Treasury function
• Deep understanding of treasury management and debt instruments
• A well developed understanding of the key business risk areas within relevant credit institutions

Functional Responsibility:
As a member of a Treasury Analyst team the successful candidate will be required to lead the supervision of the Treasury department of one or more credit institutions. This work will include:
• Assessing an institution’s current treasury risks and anticipating potential treasury risks;
• Validating the correctness of reports and other requested information. Carrying out analysis on this information and challenging that information;
• Developing risk mitigation plans on identified risks. Ensuring execution by the institution of agreed RMP’s;
• Critically assessing an institution’s Treasury policy particularly but not exclusively in respect of liquidity, funding ,net interest income and contingency funding planning;
• In-depth analysis of broader Treasury risk activities including governance issues such as standard of ALCO process etc;
• Assessment of proposals by credit institutions e.g. relating to Treasury matters. These could include mergers, acquisitions, re-organisations, new activities;
• Representing the Regulator in meetings/conference calls with other regulators;
• Providing appropriate advice to departmental management and senior staff;
• Team management and development.
