Job Description:
Overall purpose:
To champion the Shopper and use of Shopper data from Tesco Clubcard’s 1m active customers to drive client businesses decision making and enable them to achieve business benefit from using dunnhumby.
To build actionable insights that enables our client to grow their customer base and to grow category sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Interrogate Clubcard database using the full suite of dunnhumby tools to create relevant and actionable insights for Tesco Commercial Team
- Build strong relationships with internal contacts and develop a good understanding of the company’s objectives
- Deliver value to Tesco and embed dunnhumby solutions by creating recommendations and actionable shopper insights
- Effective project management and delivery of consistently high standard of client service measured through client feedback

Primary: In dunnhumby – Internal Commercial and Insight Teams
Secondary: Within Retailer – Category Buyers
WORK EXPERIENCE (Desirable – not essential)
- Experience of working at either a retailer, FMCG company or Research Agency specialising in Retail data
- Experience of delivering projects with strong analytical content to deliver insight/recommendations to client
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Degree or equivalent (2.1 or higher) from an established university
- Experience in an analytical/ statistical role or numerate degree
Desirable
- Experience of understanding data and articulating insights
- Other relevant industry knowledge
- Experience of understanding data and articulating insights
- Experience in SQL or SAS programming
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Articulate and able to demonstrate strong communication skills Excellent commercial acumen
- Strives for excellence and puts the customer first
- Passionate about delivering great results
- Strong planning and organisational skills and able to manage a number of projects simultaneously
- Tenacious and calm in challenging situations
Desirable
- Able to demonstrate a consultative approach to understanding and meeting client needs
