Role Description:
Version 1 has an exciting opportunity for an experienced PHP Developer. The position will be part of our project support and development team within Version 1's Managed Services Practice. We provide complete lifecycle solutions to our customers, helping them to achieve their business objectives by identifying requirements, designing and developing solutions and providing on-going support and strategic advice.
The ideal candidate will have a good technical background in PHP development in a support environment. Some Oracle Database environment experience would be good as well as an eagerness to learn other skills including Java etc.
Essential skills:
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial PHP 4 or 5 development experience
• HTML / JavaScript / CSS
• Oracle or MySQL Database
• Experience working to coding standards
• Good documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Client facing experience a distinct advantage
• Good problem solver
• Business Requirements gathering experience
• Consultant experience
• IT Support experience
• Working in association with dedicated test team
• Working with a PHP framework
Desirable skills:
• .Net or C# experience
• ZCE qualification
• Reporting (Discoverer, Oracle Reports, etc)
• PL/SQL
