About Version 1
Version 1 has an exciting opportunity for an experienced J2EE Developer/ Analyst. The position will be part of our project support and development team within Version 1's Utilities Practice. We provide complete lifecycle solutions to our customers, helping them to achieve their business objectives by identifying requirements, designing and developing solutions and providing on-going support and strategic advice.
Role description:
Work as part of project team to deliver excellent software that achieves high quality on time deliverables
Liaise with system, integration and UAT test teams to ensure quality across all stages of the development life cycle.
Understand Key Business processes and work with business users to progress/modify these in an online context
The role will be based on a client site.
Essential skills:
Spring MVC
Hibernate
Maven
Strong Java skills (including web application development, user interface coding and backend logic implementation)
JSP, HTML, CSS, Java Script, AJAX
Unit testing frameworks (JUnit or equivalent)
Jakarta Tiles
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development (10g/11g)
Unix/Linux
Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Customer facing experience, including working on customer site as part of development team for extended periods
Comfortable preparing/editing technical documents, business requirements
Good written and verbal skills
5+ years technical experience
Desirable Skills
Billing System or Customer Information Systems experience, especially Hansen Peace CIS
JQuery
JAAS Implementation
Spring Web Flow
Experience with Weblogic JRocket JVM and Mission Control
Experience with Weblogic Diagnostic Framework (WLDF)
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Production systems enhancement and support experience
