Registrar of Credit Unions - Financial Analyst, Credit Union Reporting

The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) are seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst, Credit Union Reporting for our Registry of Credit Unions Department (RCU), who will report to the Team Lead, Credit Union Reporting or his nominee.
SKILL AREAS:
• Extensive experience of spreadsheet development and information analysis (using Excel).
• Strong knowledge and implementation experience of best practice information management techniques.
• Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Experience of process design and development.
• Expert in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Experience with SQL queries and procedures.
• Ideally possesses computer science or accountancy qualification(s).
• Experience of financial/reporting systems and business intelligence cube design and implementation would be beneficial.
TASKS
• Design and develop reports and analysis for presentation to management.
• Design efficient and robust internal Excel based solutions to collate and analyse information from disparate sources.
• Design, test, rollout and support IT systems for departmental use.
• Build IT knowledge and skills within the department, in particular spreadsheet analysis and development skills.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal processes, procedures and standards for spreadsheet use and development to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department.
• Liaise with the IT department in the design, development, user acceptance testing and support of systems for use within the department and by credit unions
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
The successful candidate must have:
• Strong IT skills including experience in IT system development and implementation.
• A structured, delivery focused approach with knowledge of process design and procedure development practices.
• A willingness to work on own initiative and manage own workload with minimum level of supervision
• Diligent and responsible approach with a strong focus on attention to detail.
• A creative ability to recommend solutions to complex administrative and financial processes.
• The energy to deal with a wide variety of challenges sometimes in an unstructured environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and judgement to deal with credit unions, professional managers and their staff.
• The ability to supervise and direct others.
• The ability to operate in a team environment
