Position: Occupational Therapist

Temporary/Contract/Permanent: Permanent – Part Time
Salary: €40,000- €45,000 per annum pro rata

A superb opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to work for a private hospital in the midlands. This hospital provides a wide range of services to patients and offers the ideal candidate the opportunity working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing functional assessment in the pre-assessment clinic, education, rehabilitation and discharge planning and support. Our client is looking for an occupational therapist with a minimum of three years’ experience to work eighteen hours a week.
Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat appropriate patients attending the department.
• Keep records of assessments, treatments and progress of all patients.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of work as per standards of practice.
• Liaise and correspond with Consultants and GP’s as required to maintain the highest standard of patient care.
• Maintain excellent professional relationships between the department and other hospital departments, clinicians, patients and visitors.
Requirements:
• Must hold a Higher Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Validated by Department of Health and Children to work as an Occupational Therapist in Ireland.
• Two to three years previous experience, preferably in orthopaedics
