PE Teacher / Sports Coach
at Olympian Gymnastics Club in Dublin City South
Position Objective
The position is open to a highly motivated self-starter who is a team player and reliable. Your primary responsibilities will be the successful implementation of sports programs for children age from 5 to 12 years old. The success candidate will have a Sports / Education background. 1 -2 years experience (full or part time). Excellent communication skills, class control and the ability to motivate young people.
Qualifications and Experience.
· A recognised training / teaching qualification (H.Dip, NUI, City&Guilds, FETAC or equivalent).
· A recognised childcare qualification (FETAC Level 6 or equivalent)
· Experience of gymnastics or dance but not essential.
· 1-2 years experience of working in childcare or sports coaching
· Full driving licence
Knowledge
· Sporting coaching
· Deliver of sports curriculum (Knowledge Irish PE curriculum would be helpful)
· Communications skills
· Child Welfare and Protection
· Play and Early Education
Responsibilities
· Deliver training modules to a high standard.
· Maintain training records.
· Determine training needs of students.
· Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvements.
· Apply work related experience to teaching
· Adapt activities to meet participant needs
Ability to work on own initiative and in a team.
