Project Portfolio Communications and Reporting Specialist
at Central Bank of Ireland in Co. Dublin
The Central Bank of Ireland has the primary objective of promoting systemic financial stability in Ireland and across the euro area. The Bank currently seeks an experienced Project Portfolio Communications and Reporting Specialist to join our new Project Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Head of Function this role provides an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual with demonstrable and relevant project management experience.
Role Definition
• Develop, maintain & improve project portfolio progress & performance reporting;
• Develop, maintain & improve the project portfolio tracking & statusing system applications;
• Collate cross project reporting & review reports for PMO and Senior Management Committee (SMC) review;
• Support users in the use of the reporting & tracking tools;
• Develop, maintain & improve PMO and Balanced Score Card (BSC) Web/SharePoint site applications;
• Support the preparation and execution of a communication plan for CBI projects & organisation change programme.
Core Responsibilities
Portfolio Reporting
• Prepare quarterly and monthly portfolio dashboard report on priority projects for distribution to Project Sponsors and the SMC;
• Prepare quarterly Portfolio reports on priority projects for distribution to Project Sponsors and SMC;
• In conjunction with Project Assurance & Support clearly identify issues, risks and contentions at project & portfolio levels;
• Maintain deliverables, risk & issue logs across the priority project portfolio;
• Support the implementation and application of system support tools for project tracking & reporting.
Systems and User Support
• Act as the first line of support for users of project tracking & reporting tools;
• Achieve & maintain a high level of project reporting compliance & quality within tracking & reporting tools. Identify omissions or inaccuracies and resolve with projects/Project Assurance & Support;
• Review and assess current support systems and tools and develop continuous improvement plans focused on enhanced usability and utility.
Communications
• Develop & execute a broad based communication plan in support of the adoption and application of good project and change management practice focused on both those directly engaged in project delivery and the broader Central Bank population;
• Develop comprehensive communications collateral, supporting training & development programmes;
• Actively support the development & improvement of project and change management capability in the Central bank.
Experience Required
• Practical experience in project & programme management.
• Experience in development and support of application software.
• Operation of project/programme reporting processes.
• Development and delivery of communications plans within a project/programme setting.
• PC Skills - Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Project and ideally MS Enterprise Portfolio Server.
Competencies
• Strong project management competency.
• Strong technical competencies in end user application developments, including WEB tools, SharePoint, MS Project and ideally MS Portfolio Server
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills with emphasis on consensus building
• Strong results & delivery focus
• Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills
