Performance Management Specialist (2 Year Fixed Term Contract)

The Central Bank of Ireland has the primary objective of promoting systemic financial stability in Ireland and across the euro area. It ensures the proper and effective regulation of financial institutions and markets in Ireland while also ensuring that the best interests of consumers of financial services are protected.
The Central Bank of Ireland seeks to appoint a Performance Management Specialist to support the introduction and embedding of a new performance management system, known as Performance Management and Development Programme (PMDP) in the Central Bank. Initially reporting to the HR Director, this strategic position is of key importance, at a time of considerable adjustment and organisational change within the Central Bank.
Role Definition
• Proactively engage with business unit leaders, managers and the organisation with a view to embedding a successful, sustainable and continuously improving Performance Management and Development Programme;
• Develop and implement best practice performance management policies and processes to support the cultural embedding of a successful performance management system;
• Communicate, coach and train managers in performance management policies and processes, in coordination with the Training Unit, to ensure smooth and effective implementation;
• Ensure maximum utilisation of the online system to support the management of employee performance, recording and managing identification and tracking of training and development plans etc.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have several years’ relevant performance management experience at an appropriate level, with particular experience in implementing, operating and improving performance management system(s). They will be results and delivery focussed, have strong relationship, personal and influencing skills and strong problem solving capability. Good project management experience will be an advantage.
