Regional EHS Support Specialist
at Acre Resources in Co. Dublin
Our client, a global facility management and energy services provider is recruiting a regional EHS Support Specialist in the Republic of Ireland. You will provide advice and help to operational managers, supervisors and other stakeholders in order for them to comply with relevant statutory laws and effectively implement their safety management system.
Specific duties will include:
• Providing support to effectively asses and control risk in the workplace, including the provision of ongoing information and advice on appropriate solutions.
• Creating, maintaining and enhancing; effective working relationships with key stakeholders
• Contributing to the proper drafting and effective communication of the company’s EHS and quality policies.
• Evaluating, developing, promoting and supporting the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive and effective EHS management
• Promoting and supporting the continuous development of a positive EHS culture,
• Monitoring and measuring compliance with legal standards and establish effective follow up procedures to ensure any weaknesses are quickly and reliably addressed.
• Leading and participating in programmes designed to influence and change behaviour at work.
• Identifying EHS training and development needs, including the creation of a performance system which assesses the competencies of employees and others working for the organisation.
This post requires that you have a good understanding of Irish EHS legislation, a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferably supported by an appropriate science or technical degree. As the role is stand alone CMIOSH is a requirement. You should also have EHS management experience in a similar role within a large diverse organisation. It’s essential that you hold a valid drivers license and have enthusiasm to plan ahead based on priorities and to ensure EHS best practice is developed, introduced and maintained at each location within the region.
