Senior Technical Support Staff
at Access Control Technology in Dublin City South
The Company
Access Control Technology (ACT), is a wholly-owned Irish company, engaged in the design and manufacture of electronic access control equipment. The company currently employs 30 people with 10 of these in the R & D department. It exports into 10 European countries and operates from modern premises in South City Business Centre, Tallaght, Dublin.
The Role
This is a key position reporting to the technical support manager, the role is predominately customer facing and requires a technically qualified person. You will also be responsible for communicating problems and recommendations from customer back to the R&D department.
The position is telephone based offering support to installers of the ACT equipment including hardware and software. The role also involves assisting the installer to trouble shoot their problem and develop bespoke solutions to suite the customers’ requirements.
From time to time you will be required to attend the customers site to help further with diagnosing a particular issue or gathers requirements for bespoke project.
You will be required to diagnose problems and in some cases repair technical faults and you will also provide in-house training of our customers in the use of ACT products.
Skills:
You must be a native English speaker with excellent telephone communication skills
You must have experience in fault finding in previous jobs
You must possess at least a diploma in electronic engineering or computer science
