Reservations Co-ordinator
at Maynooth Campus Conference & Accommodation in Kildare
Maynooth Campus Conference & Accommodation, the department charged with management of guest accommodation and conference business on the university campus at NUI Maynooth and St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, seeks to employ a Reservations Co-ordinator on a part-time basis, initially for a one-year contract.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality sector, have worked in the reservations environment and have experience of managing staff. S/he will have strong customer service credentials and be capable of ensuring delivery of an efficient service to our clients.
The duties attached to this position include:
- Co-ordinating the reservations service
- Managing large-scale and/or extended booking requests made by commercial clients, on-campus departments and student clubs and societies
- Liaison with clients to ensure satisfactory delivery of service
- Occasional meetings with clients
- Ensuring that systems are up-to-date
- Ensuring that all relevant support departments are adequately informed of impending events
- Issuing regular reports to support departments
- Periodic liaison with support departments
- Management of Front Desk staff to ensure that a high standard of customer service is delivered, to oversee Front Desk rosters, to ensure that staffing levels are adequate, to handle Front Desk staff issues
- Lunchtime cover (one hour per day, Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 13:00) at Front Desk
- Liaison with Events Manager where appropriate
The Reservations Co-ordinator reports directly to the Manager.
The successful candidate will be expected to familiarize him/herself quickly with our reservations system, with all communication systems (email, telephone, fax) and with procedures in place to ensure that business is conducted efficiently and properly.
Dress is smart casual or business.
It is envisaged that the post will be filled as soon as possible. The period of employment is for one year. The hours of work are three per day, five days per week, which must include the 12:00-13:00 lunch break for Front Desk staff. An hourly rate of €17.00 will apply.
