Espion require an experienced candidate with good client facing skills who can mix hands on ability, business understanding, build strong client relationships and ultimately drive business for Espion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will involve a mixture of making site visits and remote access to client networks in order to configure Cloud based solutions. Using a distributed environment, you will be required to ensure that the all necessary traffic can flow to and from the collection agent (this typically involves an understanding of TCP/IP, Syslog, Firewalls, VPNs and NAT technology).

You will be required to ensure that pre-agreed reports and event management alerts are delivered to the client on an as agreed basis within agreed SLA’s. This will involve configuring the Cloud based solution, reporting, event analysis and correlation functions.

You will also be required to perform scheduled maintenance and management tasks on the IT environment supporting the solution (including but not limited to backups, system updates, user management etc).

From time to time you will be required to interpret reports and ensure that the client understands them. Some telephone based client support will be necessary on occasion.

Additionally, there is a requirement to become the IT Manager servicing the 38 individuals within the organisation and help drive the IT strategy that has already been identified.

You will be required to work closely with the other consultants in the service division and to provide training and pre-sales to Espion clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
A mature, experienced candidate capable of working on his or her own initiative, in the Security Management Division

A third level qualification is essential in a related field with possibly some further Information security education.

Experience with security products such as firewalls, anti-virus and other Gateway solutions could form a good background for the type of person we are looking for.

Additionally, a recognised qualification such as CLAS, CHECK, CISSP, ISO Lead auditor, CISA, CISM, CoBit or ITIL and/or some work experience in IT Audit, Pen testing, Webapp testing would be considered an advantage.

Candidates should be proactive, have the ability to take ownership, have a “can do” approach, have a goal of building customer value and can react quickly and with a sense of urgency to requests, issues, emails or other events in a timely and flexible fashion and have the ability and understanding to provide pre-sales technical support as and when required.

Candidates must be articulate in both written and verbal communication, have a demonstrable experience working in a stand-alone role (specifically customer facing) and have a strong ability to produce well written and well presented reports/documentation in the English language.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Exposure to SIEM, Log Management, Performance Management, Availability Reporting Tools.
• Vulnerability Scanners (Qualys, Nessus etc)
• Windows Operating Systems, *nix operating systems
• Network Devices such as Routers, Switches
• Security Devices such as IDS, IPS, Firewall, VPN, UTM, Gateway AV and Monitoring solutions, Authentication Devices (RADIUS, TACACS, Two Factor Auth etc)
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, NAT, Routing etc
• General IT maintenance skills for servers and network equipment including user account management, backup, patching, RAID , Internet Connectivity
• Client facing experience and on-site experience
• Good troubleshooting and support skills
• Familiarity with Windows and other vendor event logs.
• Log Management and Event reporting
• Report Writing Skills
