Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees all daily operations of the salon.
To ensure the salon cleanliness and maintenance is in keeping with the company’s general policy on services.
Responsible for the coordination and planning of all treatments whilst ensuring correct procedures are followed.
To advise clients of all services and products available for retail purchase.
Management of staff
Planning and implementation of staff rotas and schedules.
To guide all members of staff to create a happy working atmosphere for the benefit of both staff and clients.
Manage the financial budget, control sosts and prepare expense reports
Coordinate salon promotions and other marketing activities to maximise the salons position in the market.
To attend soirees, demonstrations and seminars when required in order to promote the salon by word of mouth and activity in local area.
To work closely with owner in promoting the company’s image through all media eg advertising, pr to increase company’s reputation and client count.
Ability to work the hours dictated by the business, including late evenings, and weekends.
Must be willing to travel if necessary for further training/meetings and when required.

Requirements:

Minimum 3/4 years experience in a supervisory role.
Ability to lead a team.
Previous salon experience.
Strong customer service/people skills and interpersonal skills.
Experience handling complaints and dealing with the public.
Ability to work on their own initiative and possess excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent IT skills, fully competant in Microsoft Office suite.
Good command of both written and spoken English.
Legal right to work in Ireland.
Available to start immediately.

The Central Bank of Ireland is seeking to recruit an Assistant Production Controller (APC) in the Mint, Currency Centre, Sandyford. The APC will have responsibility for supervision of all operations involved in the production, authentication and destruction of Euro Coinage. They will provide assistance in the maintenance of the required standards in the Mint including areas such as the quality of production, security procedures in the area, efficiency of the operation, staff discipline and industrial relations, production planning, health and safety of staff, adherence to the required environmental standards, stock management, staff recruitment and the requisition and maintenance of production machinery.

The successful candidate must have:
• Suitable industrial experience and preferably have a formal qualification in tool-making or machine fitting-turning.
• Proven supervisory skills
• Knowledge of modern manufacturing
• Technical knowledge of the production processes involved in coin production
• Demonstrate flexibility due to changing work requirements.

Functional Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility is to ensure that the coin struck meets the specifications as laid out by the European Commission
• To ensure all quality systems are adhered to
• To play an active role on the Technical Sub Group for the Euro Coin Sub Committee
• To ensure 100% compliance with all EH&S and Security Requirements
• Responsible for meeting the annual production plan for new and authenticated coin.
• Responsible through the Mint Supervisor for the control and recording of all material transactions and movements
• Liaising with vault officers
• Responsible for the management of all secure items such as dies.
• Allocation of resources (raw materials, staff, cover etc.) to the required areas to meet the production plan on a daily basis.
• Recording production figures from all processes and supplying these weekly to the Head of CPD.
• Liaising with Engineering to ensure machine uptime
• Responsibility for the upkeep of the annual leave and flexi-leave systems currently in operation in the Mint, thereby ensuring that cover is available for the main processes at all times.
• Regular Liaison with the Head of CPD regarding production and staff issues (including IR issues).
• Liaison with the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Head of CPD and Mint staff regarding quality issues.
• Liaison with ESD regarding routine and emergency maintenance work required on Mint equipment. Regular contact with the EHS Engineer and Engineering Supervisor is required.
• Responsibility for the arranging and conduct of quarterly workplace inspections with the safety representative on the Mint floor.
• Responsibility for the ordering of the main raw materials in the area.
• Responsibility for the maintenance and efficient operation of the flexi-start system balances within the Mint.
• Weekly responsibility for the verification of TMS time sheets and sending of signed sheets into HRP for payment. Copies should be kept for reference purposes.
• Participation and co-operation with all audits in the area – internal, ISO, or ECB as required.
• Ensuring that all ISO 9000:2000 procedures are adhered to in the Mint area.
• Providing assistance to the Head of CPD when required in the recruitment process for all Mint appointments.
• Representation of the Mint area when required at meetings – management, ECB, IPF, Labour Relations etc.
• Liaison with the training officer to ensure that staff are fully trained for their normal and additional work duties – first aid, fire drill, health & safety, manual handling etc.
• Responsibility for the maintenance of staff discipline in matters such as attendance, late arrivals, work performance etc.
• Provision of technical assistance to the Head of Currency Production.
